RECEIVER / MATERIAL HANDLER

We are seeking individuals to join various areas in our Receiving Team. We have a position available for our evening shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM). Starting wage is $14.00/hour. This position is located at 80 Furniture Park, Winnipeg.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Work with team members to maintain inventory control and records.
Ship and Receiving: receive and unload freight both manually and with equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Check for damaged goods, verifying quality and quantity of orders, comparing items with purchase orders. Wrap, package and ship supplies. Deliver and retrieve supplies to and from work or storage areas. Tag and issue supplies. Stock shelves and rotate inventory.
Inventory Maintenance and Clerical: participate in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard. Maintain inventory records by adding or removing supplies as they are shipped or received. Operate a computer to access, enter and correct information. May prepare damage claims for supervisor’s review and signature.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Contribute to producing high-quality, luxury furniture.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?

Some knowledge of basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Experience handling, storing and shipping materials or supplies.
Experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF Scanners.
Experience using a computer to access information and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Position requires some knowledge of electronic parts, to inspect, store and issue electronic inventory and supplies.
Solid teamwork skills.
Dependable and reliable.
Physically able to stand/walk for 8 hours a day, lift and manipulate objects ranging from to 2-35 kg (5-77 lbs).
Willingness to be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools.
